kaufte Josef Vogelbacher das Gasthaus von Fidel Eisele, dessen Vorfahren im Jahre 1764 “das Tafernrecht” in Obereggingen erhalten hatten.
In der dritten Generation übernahmen die Wirtsleute Hannelore und Manfred Vogelbacher die Gaststätte mit der angeschlossenen Landwirtschaft. Durch arbeitsreiche Umbauten sorgte Manfred Vogelbacher dafür, dass das Gasthaus „Wilder Mann“ zu einem für die damalige Zeit modernen und gut zu bewirtschafteten Betrieb wurde, der auch für gesellige Anlässe gerne angenommen wurde.
1970
wurde erstmals ein Umbau im Hause vorgenommen.
With the Takeover of the fourth Generation, the renovation of the guest room and kitchen area. Additional modifications / renovations to the exterior facade, guest rooms, sanitary facilities followed.
1999

A Supplement to the ordinary house with a modern and spacious extension to the hotel.
The Hotel is officially classified with 3 stars "S".
Seit 2014
sind wir Mitglied bei den Naturparkwirten, seit Mai 2017 Naturparkhotel. Seit August 2018 ist das Hotel offiziell mit ***S klassifiziert.
For over 125 years, we live in Baden hospitality.
We run the house now in the 5. Generation and keep the fire Burning – visible as a result of the merger of the traditional country Inn with a very modern, straight-lined new building. We call ourselves country hotel: quaint and authentic, with intact nature right around the house, with good regional cuisine, the cultural landscape of the southern black forest deeply connected.
